Applied for a job with a major health insurance company. The name begins with a U and ends with a D.
After completing untold forms and answering a gazillion questions, I received a form email. Thank you for your application. If you are qualified you will receive a call. blah blah blah.
Guess what? I now receive JUNK EMAIL from this prospective employer. My name is not Dilbert.

Integrity
Interviewing for a management position. Staffing agency asks me to downgrade my resume to remove any mention of being a manager. With 20 years of management, what does that make me?
I refuse, get an interview and find the company has plastered the word integrity all over the lobby and interview rooms. I'm confused but hopeful I can land a job. Nothing happens. Market changes directions and we never get the opportunity to work together. At least i still have my integrity.

Consultant
When doing a client analysis, the client is always right. On this assignment, the problems are many and they are obvious. The solution is simple and within grasp. However, the client knows what they want whether it is the solution or not.
Case in point:
1. Client has no process for work product intake, estimating, planning, development or reporting.
2. Client does not want to educate staff, change any processes, add new processes or collect status reports.
3. Client wants a computerized dashboard highlighting all the successes and work products.
It must be magic. Buy a computer (or computer program) and it will solve all your problems. What did I miss?
